Who We Are

THE VISION OF THE PASTOR

It is my pleasure to introduce to you the vision, plan and organizational structure of The Believers Worship Center Church, Inc.

We are a Christian organization inspired by God to bring forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Washington Metropolitan area and its surrounding communities.

My vision is to outline the plan the Lord has impressed upon my heart. I hope that your heart becomes overjoyed with what we are doing, not only for the surrounding community, but for Christians everywhere.

As members of the Body of Christ, it is so very important that we understand and grow in the fruit of God’s Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). The fruit of the Spirit is the character of God. When we display this character in our lives (John 15:7-8), we will be distinctly recognized as children of God.

I encourage each and every one to demonstrate love, patience, and temperance as we come together as a body. As Christians, we must remind our brethren in the faith not to allow envy, strife, and division to be a part of the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 3:3). We must constantly endeavor to enlighten the minds of the brethren in the doctrines of Christ, which manifests the perfect will of GOD.

“Stand on the Word of God, for it endures forever!”

I Peter 1:25

-Bishop Larry H. Jordan Sr, Senior Pastor

Statement of Purpose

The Believers Worship Center Church, Inc. (TBWC, Inc.) is a Christian institution established for the purpose of preaching, teaching, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministry is organized exclusively for spiritual, educational and charitable purposes in the Washington Metropolitan area and abroad.*

The establishment of TBWC Inc. is further intended to aid in the public welfare by:

  • Ministering the integrity and simplicity of God’s Word to members and receptive congregates
  • Developing spiritual, economical, and social growth in families and single members
  • Investing in the power of prayer for all people
  • Evangelizing to the local communities by preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ – leading others to salvation
  • Empowering Christians to know the will of God for His people

Primarily, the organization’s purpose is to reform the lives of the people by setting a standard through preaching, teaching, and demonstrating the true gifts and power of God. By setting this standard, God’s people will operate in the gifts of the Spirit and the surrounding communities will prosper as a result.

TBWC Inc. is also committed to teaching and developing its members to harvest the fruit of the Spirit that we may win and cultivate workers for the Lord. Thus, the scriptures declare us to

“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify God who is Heaven.”
Matthew 5:16.

Statement of Faith

The Believers Worship Center, Inc. is a Christ centered, well balanced church that holds to the fundamentals of the Christian faith. We believe that there is one God, who is eternally omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (knowing all things), and omnipresent (present in all places at the same time).

We believe that God exists in three entities. We believe all three entities make up the God-head and are equal, but are functionally different.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God

According to I Corinthians 12:4-6 there are: (a) diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit (the Holy Spirit); (b) difference of ministries, but the same Lord (Jesus Christ); and (c) diversities of activities, but the same God who works all in all (God is responsible for all of the power for these functions).

We believe that He is the sovereign creator and sustainer of the universe, and that final judgment for eternity is of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God manifested in the flesh. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and lived the only perfect life without sin. We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of all men, was buried, bodily resurrected on the third day, and now sits on the right hand of God as the scriptures declare.

We believe that according to John 14:16-18 the Holy Spirit is the promise that Jesus said the Father would send to be a comforter

by faith we believe in God, even though we cannot
see Him

a helper, to lead and guide us in all truth, and to live inside every born-again Christian. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as the Savior of the world and that salvation came through Him for the remission of sins. We believe and understand that by faith we believe in God, even though we cannot see Him, we believe He exists.

Hebrews 11:6 states, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

A diamond in the natural is one of our most precious gems, and in its purest form is transparent and flawless. The three diamonds represent one symbol, yet each is distinct. This signifies the very character of our triune God; three persons representing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit operating as one. God is the most precious person in the life of every believer because of His transparent and flawless nature.
