Pattern of Sound Words Stops the Devil’s Deception – Part I
As a Pastor it is my obligation unto the Lord to make sure that every member of the church grows spiritually and doctrinally sound through a pattern of sound words as stated in 2 Timothy 1:13-14, “13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.” A pattern of sound words is a model from the scriptures by which you can grow spiritually. It establishes your behavior, attitude, and beliefs to walk and live in the knowledge and wisdom of God. A pattern of sound words will cause you to not be ignorant of the Devil’s devices and wiles to overtake you. Always remember in the world, evil desires come through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). Live and grow in Christ to not be deceived by the Devil. The world is mutable, and you must be sound to observe it.
